Short version: Orbit is a website that helps you use a smart contract on Robinhood Chain. Orbit never holds your money. Every transaction is between your wallet and the contract, and it can’t be undone. Coins are risky. Only use money you can afford to lose.
1. What Orbit is
Orbit is a website (“the site”) that lets people pitch coins, take equal seats in pitches, and launch coins on pons when every seat fills. It does this by talking to the Orbit smart contract on Robinhood Chain (“the contract”). The site is only an interface. It does not hold, control or have access to your wallet, your ETH or your coins.
2. Orbit and pons are separate
Orbit is an independent project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by pons. Coins launched through Orbit are created on pons and follow pons’ own rules, fees and contracts, which Orbit does not control.
3. Who can use Orbit
You must be at least 18 and legally allowed to use crypto services where you live. You may not use Orbit if you are on a sanctions list or in a country or region where using it is against the law. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including tax laws.
4. Your wallet and your transactions
- You are fully responsible for your wallet, its keys and its recovery phrase. Orbit can never recover them for you.
- Transactions on Robinhood Chain are final. Orbit cannot reverse, cancel or refund a transaction once it is confirmed.
- You pay the network fee for every transaction you send.
5. How pitches work
- Every seat in a pitch costs the same. The pitcher pays for the first seat when creating the pitch.
- Supporters can leave a seat and get their seat price back at any time until the last seat fills. The pitcher can cancel a pitch before it fills.
- When a pitch is cancelled, up to 50 seats are refunded automatically. In larger pitches, each supporter collects their own refund from the pitch page.
- Taking the last seat launches the coin on pons in the same transaction. The pooled ETH, minus the fees below, buys the coin, and it is shared equally between the pitcher and every supporter. After launch, seats can no longer be refunded.
- In pitches of up to 50 seats, coins are sent to everyone automatically at launch. In larger pitches, each person claims their own share from the pitch page.
6. Fees
When a pitch launches, a flat Orbit fee of 0.0005 ETH and pons’ own launch fee are taken from the pooled ETH. Both are shown on every pitch page before you take a seat. After launch, trading on pons has its own fees and any creator tax the pitcher chose. Fees can change, so always check the pitch page.
7. Pitch content
Pitchers are responsible for what they publish, including names, tickers, pictures, descriptions and links. Don’t publish anything illegal, misleading, hateful, infringing, or that pretends to be someone else. Pitches live on the blockchain, so Orbit cannot delete them, but Orbit may hide any pitch from the site at any time, for any reason.
Anyone can copy a coin’s name, ticker or picture. Always check the contract address before you trade.
8. No advice
Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Orbit does not recommend or vouch for any pitch or coin. Decide for yourself, and get professional advice if you need it.
9. Risks
Using Orbit and holding coins carries serious risk, including losing everything you put in. Please read the risk notice.
10. No guarantees
The site and the contract are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Orbit does not promise that the site will always work, that it is free of errors, or that the contract, pons or Robinhood Chain will work as expected.
11. Limit of responsibility
As far as the law allows, Orbit and the people behind it are not responsible for any loss or damage from using the site, the contract, pons, Robinhood Chain or any coin, including lost funds, lost profits, bugs, hacks, network problems, or the actions of other people.
12. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
